284 people from 44 nations obtain autumn season’s climbing permits
Kathmandu: Nepal government’s tourism department has issued at least 284 climbing permits for the mountaineers for the upcoming autumn season.
Nepal is welcoming the advent of autumn climbing season with most of the expedition teams heading towards the base camps of mountains they prefer to climb in this season.
The tourism department said, a total of 284 climbers from 28 teams representing 44 countries have been granted permissions to climb various mountains.
Of all cl266 climbers have sought to climb Mt Manaslu.
As of September 8, citizens of 44 countries have taken permission to climb six mountains in Nepal.
Similarly, a total of 67 Chinese climbers have obtained climbing permits this season. Likewise, 30 Americans, 26 Russian climbers have taken climbing permits so far from the tourism department of Nepal.
