Bagmati river rafting and festival begins
Kathmandu:The Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA), Nepal River Conservation Organization and Friends Club of Kupandole jointly organised rafting from Bagmati Bridge at Kupondole to Sundargarh on Saturday to marke the river festival.
The Bagmati river festival was organized to promote the identity of Bagmati River civilization and its conservation campaign, said NARA Vice-Chairperson Sishir Khanal.
Various social organisations have been conducting Bagmati River clean-up campaigns for some years after the river got polluted.
