Landslide damages tourist village Gatlang in Rasuwa
Kathmandu: Landslide that occurred due to heavy rainfall has damaged tourist village Gatlang in Rasuwa.
The landslide that occurred in Amma Chhodingmo Rural Municipality ward no 1 at Haku, Fulbari, ward no 2 at Sano Haku, ward no 3 at Gatlang Jangprappa, Chhipar, Longechhe, Jyangde and ward no 5 at Kerwari has caused a heavy loss of properties worth trillions.
The movement of people from one place to another has been hampered as houses are damaged and all debris of houses are seen scattered everywhere.
Specially the whole village of Gatlag village has been endangered by the landslides that occurred from the upper landscape of the village. More than 30 houses need to be shifted from the landslide site to another place as many Tamang homes g0t damaged in the landslide disaster.
The landslide has obstructed the road linking Kathmandu to Rasuwa due to rainfall.
